The animations (or mostly the interactions between the sprites or whatever they're using) are a bit rougher than I expected. Still, it looks fun. I'm expecting though after seeing this that it'll be a relatively cheap downloadable game?
Not sure what format they'll choose to distribute; I believe it's being published by Majesco. According to an interview in NP there's a lot more content compared to the original, so it might be on a disc. As to the animations; I thought that (for the boy) there was a wide variety in the first video. The 'rough' quality may be due to the fact that these are 'first footage' vids, or just the hand-animated look they're going with for the whole game.

Also, YouTube res really doesn't do the graphics justice; you should check out some still frames to see the level of detail that's there.
