Friends

Saw two people in the past two days who I haven't seen in a long time. One was a former student of mine, great artist, who came by the workplace. The other was Yelan, whom I had lunch with along with Naim yesterday. I hadn't seen her in about five years, but she looks just the same. It seems she's mellowed a bit, as we all probably do as we get older, which is cool. Anyway, had a nice visit and a nice lunch where we talked about things ranging from cities and taxes to politics and economic infrastructures. They actually had to kick us out of the restaurant because we were still chatting after they'd closed. But they were very nice about it; the sushi chef thanked us in Spanish, which he may have picked up from the Mexican soap opera that was playing at the bar. But it was nice to see Yelan again - I actually met her before I met Naim, and introduced them later on, after I knew them both.

After lunch Naim and I chilled out at my place, were we did our best to dodge perplexing geometric attacks in Geometry Wars: Galaxies. Then we checked out Pokémon Snap. I'd forgotten how short the game is, but it's still a fun one, based on a novel concept. Naim introduced me to the music of Yonderboi (which is different from Wonder Boy), and I've put together a playlist of my favorites to download soon.
